Currys has selected Metapack to support its delivery operations across the UK and Ireland, introducing intelligent delivery management technology designed to expand customer delivery options, improve order visibility and enhance supply chain performance.

Delivery Technology Enhances Omnichannel Supply Chain Operations

Currys has appointed Metapack, a ShipStation Global brand specialising in ecommerce delivery management, to support its delivery operations across the UK and Ireland.

The deployment will bring Metapack’s delivery management technology to millions of Currys customers, providing more delivery choices at checkout alongside improved real-time visibility throughout the delivery journey.

For a retailer handling millions of orders, the platform is designed to provide extensive carrier connectivity while using delivery data to improve customer experience, operational performance and cost efficiency.

How Carrier Connectivity Supports More Flexible Fulfilment

Metapack’s platform provides access to more than 350 carriers and 4,000 delivery services through a single integration, enabling retailers to manage delivery operations more efficiently across multiple fulfilment partners.

The appointment comes as consumer expectations for flexible delivery continue to increase. According to Metapack’s 2026 Ecommerce Delivery Benchmark Report, 61 per cent of UK consumers are now willing to pay for premium delivery services, including next-day and same-day delivery, compared with 50 per cent in 2024.

The company said the platform will help position Currys to offer a wider range of delivery options while responding more effectively to changing customer demand.

Improving Customer Experience

Simon Boss, Director of Logistics and Home Delivery at Currys, said: “We’re pleased to be partnering with Metapack, making it easier than ever before for customers to shop with Currys. The technology will help us respond quickly to demand and deliver a more seamless shopping experience for our customers. It’s just one part of our mission to help everyone enjoy amazing technology.”

Metapack said its intelligent delivery platform is designed to help enterprise retailers optimise post-purchase operations by improving delivery visibility and supporting more efficient carrier management.

Data and Delivery Intelligence Drive Supply Chain Performance

Mark Honeyben, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Europe at ShipStation Global, said: “We are proud to be chosen by Currys, a British institution and one of the country’s most trusted retail names. Currys understands what delivery has become: a genuine driver of loyalty, revenue and brand reputation. The retailers leading in this space are those treating every post purchase interaction as an opportunity, not an obligation, and our platform gives Currys the intelligence and scale to do precisely that.”

Metapack serves enterprise retailers and third-party logistics providers (3PLs), handling more than one billion shipments annually. As part of ShipStation Global, the wider platform supports more than three million customers and processes over three billion shipments each year.
