Accelerating digitisation across the high seas, Jifmar Group and Seavium recently announced a strategic partnership to spearhead greater artificial intelligence adoption in global offshore operations.

JIFMAR GROUP AND SEAVIUM JOIN FORCES

French-based companies Jifmar Group (Jifmar) and Seavium have formalised a strategic partnership to launch advanced digital and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven capabilities across the former’s fleet and internal workflows.

Established in 2005, Jifmar has grown to become a leading worldwide maritime operator, responsible for a fleet of specialised workboats deployed across global offshore and maritime projects.

Seavium, meanwhile, is a cutting-edge software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform which digitises offshore vessel chartering and operations through structured data and AI-driven technology. The company’s overarching mission is to bring greater clarity, speed, and transparency – capabilities that are paramount to reliable maritime operations.

With this in mind, the partnership between Jifmar and Seavium is set to bring an industrywide transformation to fruition – one which aligns with the evolving needs of clients, charterers, and major industry players who increasingly rely on structured data, operational transparency, and digital tools to ensure resilient offshore operations.

Adrien Barrau, CEO of Seavium, believes the partnership indicates a clear shift in the offshore industry, particularly in a changing landscape where digitalisation is no longer optional and AI is redefining chartering and maritime operations.

ENTERING THE DIGITAL ERA

At the heart of the partnership is the implementation of a unified digital ecosystem, which will be integrated across 80 vessels in Jifmar’s fleet.

This will help optimise fleet visibility, standardise technical information, and enhance the company’s preparation, assessment, and delivery of complex offshore projects.

The roll-out of cutting-edge technology also exemplifies how large maritime operators can future-proof their operations in a field where data-driven decision-making is becoming the new norm.

Furthermore, leveraging AI-driven analysis and vessel-project matching grants Jifmar faster commercial responsiveness and improved asset visibility across international offshore operations.

Adoption of Seavium’s platform also offers greater structure and prediction in the tendering process, illustrating how the sector is moving towards more agile and competitive chartering practices.

The partnership between Jifmar and Seavium therefore supports the former’s broader transition towards enhanced automation and efficient workflows across multiple sector areas.

The joining of forces also emphasises a pragmatic approach to AI adoption, spurred by targeted use cases, measurable impact, and a clear trajectory towards long-term operational resilience.

Paul Berud, Head of Innovation at Jifmar, is deeply proud to integrate Seavium’s solution into the company’s operations, as it reinforces Jifmar’s long-standing commitment to innovation.

Positioned as an industry leader for over 20 years, Jifmar’s partnership with Seavium marks the next phase in the fleet’s evolution and demonstrates a significant step forward for both organisations.

The union also reflects how leading maritime operators are facilitating a more data-driven, accountable, and performance-orientated future.
